The New Year

January 15, 2020

Hello butterflies, I don’t think I’ve wished you all a happy New Year as yet so let me do that now. I hope you’re all enjoying Caitlin’s story and looking forward to whatever I have to offer in the future. I’m also hoping that you’re all doing very well in your life both personally and professionally. I wanted to take this time to refresh some things before we move ahead in this relationship of reader and story teller. Those of you who have been with me for the past six years know me very well by now, at least the part of me that I share with you. But for those who do not know or may have forgotten, let me reiterate some things that are very important to me. I abhor negativity in all forms. I don’t care what it is, if it has a negative connotation please do not share it with me. If you’ve read one of my stories and do not like it, I sincerely do not wish to know. Once I’ve written a story and published it, that means I’ve done the best I could with that particular story. If you want to tear it down or apart, there are more than enough platforms out there that promotes negativity, go there, not here. I will never tell you how to live your life, or do your job, not even if you asked, so please don’t think it’s necessary to do it to me. People say that when you’re a story teller and you put your work out there that you’re giving the public the okay to go ahead and crap all over you. Again, there are platforms set up for you to do just that if you’re so inclined, just not here or anywhere my name is eg. Instagram, twitter, etc. I think the world has enough negativity as it is and do not wish to share in that cesspit. I do not expect you to sing my praises, or to like every aspect of everything I write what I am saying simply put, is if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it, at least not here. Another thing butterflies, if someone is saying or doing something horrible that pertains to my work, i.e. uploading it to piracy sites, giving one star reviews etc, do not share this information with me. I do not wish to know. I think when I say I abhor negativity that some of you don’t get it. Let me spell it out for you… I will never tell you a bad thing about yourself, if you do something that hurts or annoys me, I just walk away. I don’t know what’s going on in your life to make you the way you are, and my telling you isn’t going to change you, that’s a myth, thinking you can change someone. It’s the same with me, I’m not going to go back and change the story because you didn’t like it, and you telling the world how horrible it is is just your opinion, it won’t change mine. If you get pleasure out of pissing over someone else then do you, but please leave me out of it. I left Facefuq almost four years ago because I found myself fighting with people I don’t even know, people that mean absolutely nothing to me. I don’t have negativity in my life behind this screen and will be damned if I’ll allow it in through it. I absolutely love peace, and joy and all the good I can get from this messed up world, that is my choice. You can do whatever you like, that’s your choice. So going forward, if you bring any negativity to me, that would mean to me that you’re actively trying to spoil my day, steal my joy, etc. DON’T…. Have a wonderful 2020 stay strong and never conform…

I’ve only started to read your books recently. But it’s only with Caitlin’s story that I got curious enough to search all the books connected to the Lyons and suddenly, the nagging feeling became clear and obvious. Thank you for writing entertaining stories, smutty too because let’s face it, I’m in it for the dirty bits. 😛

But it’s been a couple of years I’ve been wondering why so few romance writers, even erotic romance writers, didn’t try to raise awareness in their readers. It’s one thing to write a book or 2 on a theme, then get to other topics. But when I found you, it didn’t become so clear until you provided that list off connected stories to the Lyons. And the way you paced your stories, up till very precisely now, is just such a good thing.

Whether you know what I’m talking about or just follow your inspiration, thank you for putting these notions of P***gate in the collective consciousness. Your contribution to “save the world” is much appreciated. You know, many say 2020 is THE YEAR. I wish you all the best and can’t wait for the next installment of the Lyons saga.

I LOVE, LOVE your books. I check my Kindle / Amazon for your new books everyday. Hooked! I like the way all the books bring up other characters from other books.
I was wondering if Dangerously in Love will have a second book for Jules?

I just wanted to thank you for creating a world that I can escape to whenever I feel the need to. All your books make me laugh in some way with all the antics your characters get up to and also I think it says a lot when I lose track of time when reading because I am loving the story.

I m in agreement with your philosophy. I say turn the other cheek but some will always go and smack the other as well. That is why I stay to myself. This way I never have to deal with those who have nothing but negativity and out to destroy or tear down others.

    Good Morning Jordan,
I own 141 of your books and I love them so much that I read them over and over. I absolutely loved Caitlin’s story especially you tied characters from your other books. I was wondering if I would ever hear from “Mob Boy” and “Mouth” again and I was extremely happy to fear from them in Caitlin’s story. Shane is going to be so mad when he finds out that Arianna did. I love how you deal with topics that are happening in our world today but also lighten the situation with humor so that your books are entertaining as well as informing us of serious things like sex trafficking that are happening in the world. Keep doing what you are doing and I will continue to buy your books. I can’t wait for me next book. In the mean time I just started reading all the books in “The Squad” and will read them in order.

    Morning Momma Butterfly,
I love your books and have read all of them, some more than a few times! I have never made a comment before but after seeing this I just had to make a post. I agree 2,000 percent with what you said and it would be really nice if WE ALL could take on this perspective in general throughout our lives. I was raised with the philosophy that you can’t please everyone and you’re crazy to even try.

First off I want to mention and thank you for many hours of pleasure and escape from the many hickups in my life. I have Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and your books have gotten me through many bad days, I love your writing style and have read all of your books. Shame on anyone that would try to tear you down. More people feel the way I do than them. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the updates … I don’t comment often but am an AVID reader of all your books. They are my guilty little pleasure and precisely do what they are meant to do – entertain!!! It’s too bad that people choose to take things personally or confuse your books with reality and then take those situations you write about to heart. Hmmm – strange isn’t it?? Oh well – forget them and keep doing what you do cause I ❤️ it!!! Also, btw, I am not on Instagram so thanks for realizing that some of your readers are not and double posting to here as well!! 🙂

Thank you & Happy New Year to you too. I really admire your approach to life. I’m one of those idiots who ignore praise but listen to criticism. I try to be more like my husband who listens to both praise and criticism and then ignores them both! But one thing I have noticed is that when we’re happy and feeling full of joy, this is when some miserable so and so comes along to stick a pin in our bubble. They must be so unhappy to resent someone else’s happiness. Keep on doing what you’re doing. I (and many others) need you.
