A Quick Word

August 25, 2019

Hello butterfly, so, I’ve been looking at social media a lot in the last few weeks for the first time in over three years and now that I’m a little older and hopefully wiser, I’ve learned some things. Like, if you spend too much time on these sites, you’ll come away feeling like you’re lacking, or less than human. Everyone has an opinion, but they’re so vociferous that we forget that that’s all it is, an opinion. Please remember, you may see an avatar with a svelte buxom blonde but in reality the person behind the keyboard may be a 350 pound man in piss stained underwear and a belly that reaches between his knees, eating out of a can as he peers at the computer screen, which is his only outlet in life, in the dingy basement of his childhood home where his mom and dad still reside.

Or, it can be an unkempt woman in her ratty bathrobe with six morning’s breath and an armpit that should be outlawed. And yet this bounty of information who didn’t make it past fifth grade has all the answers as to how you should live your life. Get a grip, most people that have shit to do are at work they don’t have time to sit on the computer all day doling out unwanted advice.

So, I’ve come to the conclusion that most, not all, but about ninety-five percent of the things on social media are idle minded semi humans who never had a voice until social media came into existence, and now my gosh they’re gonna use it. SHUT UP!!!! Would you take life advice from this person if you knew them in real life? I hope not, so please stop getting life advice on the internet. Try to remember what you did before such a thing existed, and opened up your home to all these strangers who seem to know what’s best for you and yours.

Also, people lie…they lie in your face, why wouldn’t they lie from behind a screen. Food for thought as you go about your life butterfly.

Love it… It is the absolute truth. That’s why my 15 year old is not on any social media platforms and our so did not get on social media until 18. Our children are hurting themselves over someone bullying them. Not mine…..

It may sound hard, but when you put your mind to it, it’s easy. I think we spend too much time worrying about what others might feel or think and so we stifle ourselves

So very true. That’s why you just keep doing what you do. People that don’t like it just need to get to steppin’. If we don’t respond to negativity it will eventually go away

This is so true. We try to instill values in our children, but social media has more influence then we as parents.

I found you later into my reading searches and wow!
I have enjoyed them all. I am an avid reader developer favorite authors but always open to add more. I pay no attention to tweets as I feel they are over used and mostly abused by small minded individuals. I wholeheartedly agree with you!!!!
But then I come from Germany and tend to be open to all aspects of life, love, and the pursuit of them.
