A Quick Word

Are we now nitpicking at the little things because we feel frustrated and powerless against the much larger things in life? As we get older with more responsibilities, we can sometimes get lost in the onslaught, can you try to remember to love you? At least part of each day can you remind yourself that you’re a whole person? Before you were mother, wife, daughter etc, you are a deserving human being. Let yourself deal with the things you can and let slide those you cannot. Don’t get so caught up in ‘life’ that you stop living yours. We don’t know each other, I write books, you read them. But I can tell you that each and every one of you are essential to that part of my life. And for those who contact me with stories of how one of my books have helped you through some horrible time, you have shown me that I too am essential to some of you if only as a means to get away for a while. Please-please-please remember to love yourself, and if you don’t know how…learn.

  1. We do tend to forget to love ourselves. I have a daughter age 22 and a granddaughter age 3. My first thought when making decisions is not “how will it affect me” but “how will it affect them”. We build our lives around those we love, overcompensating some times and forget about ourselves. Then the blame game starts and the if only’s. Thank you for reminding me that “I” is important as well.

  2. That is such a nice message – I look forward to your books – they are my escape from everything …. So I thank you for continually putting books out because to me they help me unwind. I really needed to read this today as I’ve started a brand new job and am feeling very overwhelmed

  3. Thank you. Reading is one of my ways of letting things go.

  4. Thank you Jordan. I think I needed to hear this.

  5. I try but every day I read to read something from you as my day is full of pain you help me daily you just don’t know about it
